Art Festivals in North Georgia

Artists and art enthusiasts need to take note of two upcoming festivals in North Georgia – Arts in the Park in Blue Ridge and Apple Arts on the Square in Ellijay.

Apple Arts on the Square

As you may have guessed, the Apple Arts on the Square coincides with the Georgia Apple Festival on October 12th – 13th and 19th – 20th. The streets of downtown Ellijay will be filled with vendors offering art, food and hand-crafted products. While it is called “Apple Arts on the Square,” you will be able to find exquisite pieces of artwork that are not at all related to apples. However, if you do have apples on the brain, you can find fresh apple goodies, jams, jellies or something else from the many apple vendors on hand.

Admission is only $5, and children under 10 are free. The hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

Art Festival Blue Ridge GA

Unlike Apple Arts on the Square, Blue Ridge’s art festival takes place over one weekend only – October 12th and 13th. This particular art festival has developed quite a reputation for being a premier art event in the southeast, attracting over 18,000 attendees each year. The downtown City Park comes alive with over 185 fine arts, crafts and food vendors, and you can be certain to find a myriad of fun activities for the kids. Needless to say, this is a can’t miss art festival in Blue Ridge.

Admission is only $5 (children are free), and it is good for both Saturday and Sunday. The festival is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

It seems that every weekend throughout October you can find some sort of festival in North Georgia. There is no doubt that Autumn is the best time to escape to the Georgia mountains for a getaway, and you can turn to us to find beautiful Ellijay cabin rentals.
